Hello and Welcome

Thank you for visiting and perusing The Biden Letters, a new set of musings, rants, suggestions, and loving-kindness prayers in letter form that follows and builds on the correspondence I sent daily to President Trump for much of his time in office. If our miserable time with President Trump taught me nothing else, it is that we cannot take our democracy for granted and we cannot assume that the arc of the moral universe will bend towards justice all by itself. For these reasons and about 8 billion others, I will write to President Biden more days than not, grateful beyond measure that he is a very different person with very different priorities than #45, but with no illusions that he and I will always see eye-to-eye or that I’ll consistently feel confident that he’s aware of all the important stuff out here in very real life.
