Dear President Biden,
I’m pretty much out of steam and so tonight I’m sending another gratitude haiku to you because as horrible as our overall COVID numbers are and as sad and infuriating as the weather-related deaths in the South and Southwest are, I’m grateful you’re trying to make things better and not worse. It’s a low bar for a POTUS, for sure, but you’re clearing it by several feet and that’s quite wonderful.
A long, full Sunday;
grateful beyond all measure
for tame news cycle
May we all be safe and secure.
May we be willing to pace ourselves on this reset journey.
May we hold strong and steady and breathe.
May we accept fatigue and the need to take it easy sometimes.
